Founded in the 12th century in the mountainous Alto Adige region, Abcia di Novecella is one of the oldest wineries in Italy. With their picturesque vineyards in the Bolzano area, they are known for perfecting a wine made from Miller-Thurgau, a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royale. The cool mountain climate increases and intensifies the wine's aromas, which include mango, tomato leaves and almonds. Fresh and crisp, it is full of white fruit flavors and complementary sourness. A proper accompaniment to a poika pot full of steaming vegetable broth, especially when sitting together with friends and guitars around the fire.
